It seems to me I’m reaching for my scarf more than my sunglasses this past fortnight, and the first chill of winter is definitely upon us.
No matter what the season, Designated Events are bringing to you a weekly Friday blog post detailing the weekends unmissable events and the best cafe to read your Sunday papers!
This Weekend In London!
The top event is …….. London Cocktail Week!
London cocktail week is running until the 9th of October at Spitalfields market.
Cocktails are just £5 with a festival pass which allows you to sample some of the best experimental concoctions the UK has to offer. Be daring and try ‘The Java Skye’ at the black rock booth, peculiarly described as ‘a smokey whiskey base, containing atomised Skye essence’
Designated PA recommends the Baileys #PSiloveyou Freakshow Bar to sample it’s NEW baileys pumpkin spice!
The restaurant to be seen in is……… Maggie Jones – Kensington
Maggie Jones is one of Kensingtons most beautiful hidden haunts. Frequented by it’s affluent residents for over 40 years, you may even get to rub shoulders with Joanna Lumley or Kate Winslet.
Incurably romantic with it’s wooden booths, rustic dried flowers and traditional English menu. Did I mention it’s pet friendly?
Designated PA recommends the Artichoke & Chicken pie £16
The Top Cafe For Your Sunday Morning Papers Is….. The Waterside Cafe – Little Venice
Nestled just behind the bustle of Paddington station, lies London’s most beautiful waterways.
One of the most floral laden boats in Little Venice, is also home to a thriving community of coffee lovers. Sample an assortment of cream cakes, bagels and light lunches in it’s cosy indoor seating area to avoid the October chill.
The menu is more than reasonably priced.
